My First Patchwork Pillow

Look at what I've made !!! My first ever patchwork pillow, yay !!! I've always wanted to make patchwork pillow but never have the time to really sit down & brain storm the ideas. But because April is the last month to enter for Blogger's Pillow Party organized by Stitched in Colour, so why not start making this pillow & I'm proud to say that this pillow would be my April entry.


This is the front view. I love polka dots, who doesn't, right? I didn't use any pattern from books/magazines. This is entirely my own design.


This is the back view. Usually, you can only see patchwork on the front side but I purposely sew the patchwork to the back of the pillow too.


Another thing that I love about this pillow is the running stitch in assorted colours. Love the wrinkles & they add character to the pillow. Eventhough this is a simple design but not bad for a first timer, right?

So, who want my first patchwork pillow, hands up !!! I'm selling it !!!

My Blogger's Pillow Party March Entry



I am joining Blogger's Pillow Party again for the month of March organized by Stitched in Colour & this is my pillow entry. I called it the 'Sweet Spring Pillow' as the colours are so sweet & resemble the blossom of spring flowers. I made the flowers from my solid fabric scraps which I have in abundance. You must be wondering where did I got the idea to make the flowers? Well, the idea came from looking at the flower embellishment on my hairband which I bought last year.



Making the flowers is so satisfying & addicting. As usual, I hand stitched the flowers onto the pillow & hand embroidered the stem to give it more details.

My Blogger's Pillow Party February Entry

I LOVE making pillows. From all the pillows I've made, you must have realized that I love to embellish my pillows with all sorts of materials such as ribbons, buttons, laces, felts, pom poms, fabric ruffles & many more. I can say that it is my trademark.





I am joining Blogger's Pillow Party for the month of February organized by Stitched in Colour. This is my pillow entry. I called it the 'Garden Pillow'. As you can see, I embellish this pillow with felt. I love cutting out all these soft felts into flowers & grasses. Then I hand stitched it onto the pillow. It looks so whimsical, fun & colourful. So many people requested me to make more & I'm not complaining. Loving it !!!
